Michael Force is Pretty Cool...

March 22, 2009

Ok, so I got a wee bit angry on that last post... sorry Michael! ;)

Michael Force assures me that those emotions are perfectly normal and that he would be worried if I didn't have some anger, frustration and doubt.

I did go through those emotions but then realized that I just have to take it one step at time. I was trying to be a millionaire in one month and I know that won't happen. I was also worried about how much money I had spent but that was thinking like an unsuccessful person, not a successful person. It's all in your frame of mind. If I quit now, yes, I would lose all of that money but I have no intention of quitting.

Back to the work from home business....I've learned alot about Adwords in the past month. I'm almost 6 weeks into my new home based business with Carbon Copy Pro. I've made 16 sales and gathered over 400 leads. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't experienced it.

I'm using Adwords, Facebook advertising, Web 2.0, ezinearticles, blogs (you knew that!) and I'm going to do a MySpace page. I've got a bunch of books waiting for me to read...

I have to say that it really isn't easy...per se...but it is exciting, challenging and interesting and I LOVE IT!

Ok, I'm one month into it and I've got two clients so far. I'm over $10,000 into the business and I'm completely frusterated. My sponsor is an ex marine and he acts like it. He ignores phone calls and emails and basically tells you that you're on your own in learning the ropes.

I know that I need to learn but there is SOOOO much out there. I know that I can succeed but where can I go when I have a question? Obviously, my sponsor doesn't have the time or the inclination to bother himself with questions. He's an egotist and the money has gone to his head. He's too good to waste his time on questions from those that made him rich...hmmm.

I will succeed in spite of choosing the worst sponsor out there for my personality. I hate the military approach!!! I should have done my research first before joining.

Let that be a lesson for anyone following my progress...before joining make sure that your sponsor is really going to 'sponsor' you and not just take you for a ride.

Day 5 - Carbon Copy Pro

Day 5 - Doubt, Fear, and Pushing Through

I'm a little overwhelmed by the whole thing. It seems like so much to do and it's totally outside of my box. But, on the other hand, I know that every other time I've had to rethink my views it has been uncomfortable. So I forge on.

I've already invested over $2,000.00. It's already my business. I can't quit now. I know it works, I've seen and talked to those who have succeeded. Feelings of fear and doubt creep in but I brush them away. This is normal.

Note: I believe that this is the point where hundreds of people quit. They get excited, buy the program, do the things that they know how to do and then get completely overwhelmed learning what they don't know. My advice to anyone starting a new Direct Sales Network Marketing business is to push through this day. Push through the fear, anxiety, doubt and go with your original excitement.

Today I finished the 6 Step setup guidelines that personalizes my website. This was challenging but doable. I questioned my decision to pass on the $149.00 fee for them to set everything up for you within 24 hours. But there is no room for regret now.

Day 4 - Carbon Copy Pro Internet Marketing

I finally received my business in a box! That was a long wait. I'm so excited I read both marketing books cover to cover over the next day. I explored the website more.

After thinking more about it I tied Local Ad Link and my Carbon Copy Pro together and thought that if I bought an ad from Local Ad Link I could target Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco. And if that works I could tell Carbon Copy Pro about this new company and help others to get ads out there on the internet.

I joined Local Ad Link. You can join for free and advertise your business on their website http://www.localadlink.com/ or you can join as a business builder and get 4 free ads with your fee. I decided that if I was really going to make this work, I was going to have to spend the money for the advertising. The fee to get into the Business Builder program of Local Ad Link cost me $348.95 which includes tax.

Now I'm in to my business with:

$39.95 Application fee and Million Dollar Game Plan Program
$395.00 Business in a Box, Carbon Copy Pro
$1,632.00 M1 Masters Upgrade
$348.95 Local Ad Link Business Builder Kit with 4 free ads

Total: $2,415.90

Day 3 Carbon Copy Pro

DAY 3 - WAITING
I'm still waiting for my Business in a Box. They said they would 2-day it out as soon as they got the order. I haven't seen it yet.
I've had 33 visits to my website already and I haven't even done the set up. That's how easy it is. Even if you do nothing but join, it's all automated, all you have to do is market your page.
I email my sponsor. I'm excited to get started. He says I should get it tomorrow but he tells me to go ahead and start going through their Marketing 101 program on the website.

Day 2 in my CC Pro Experience

DAY 2 - CARBON COPY PRO
I'm still excited about the prospect of making enough money to be debt-free and to do what I want. My heart is in Photography and I really want to do that for a living. Succeeding with this program will let me follow my dream of being a professional photographer.

I went in to the back office of Carbon Copy Pro, now that I'm a member. I started reading all that there is to it. The compensation plan is pretty generous. Once you're in at the M3 level, you have 11 different streams of income coming in. That's amazing!

They give you 7 days to buy the Business in a Box but I bought it yesterday. They also give you 10 days to upgrade to the m1, m2 or m3 Master program. This is a little spendier than the typical network marketing company but I'm looking at it as a business. How much would it cost me to buy a business. An established business would be out of this world but even if I was to buy a vending machine it still would cost more than the upgrade of $3,495. I have a few days to think about it but I've read so much on this company and it really does have alot going for it so I spend the $3,495 to upgrade to M1. Now I'm part of the Elite. :o)

I sent out emails to all of my address book. They use facebook's technology to email those on your list. Works quick and easy. The email is already written for me so I just hit the send button. I immediately got my first lead today.

Day 1 with Carbon Copy Pro - Online businesses Rated

TAKING THE LEAP

I put an ad in Craiglist Seattle for anyone to show me an online business that was legitimate and didn't base its earnings on selling the business to others. I was looking for something that actually sold a product that was useful and had quality. I fully expected to be bombarded with people trying to sell me their network marketing schemes but really, in the week that I had it up, I only got four responses.

The first response was for Government Grants. I'd never buy into any of that because I know that the information is free for everyone. So why would I sell something to someone that they can get it for free on the internet. That seemed too dishonest. (Want to know about Government Grants? Go to Grants.gov, its free.)

The second one, I never did find out what it was. The guy was playing games. I'm not sure if he wanted me to beg or what but he never revealed what his company was, and continually bragged about how much he and his sponsor made. He kept my attention for about two days, then I gave up. If I have to guess, I'm not interested. I was interested in the beginning but then realized that I wouldn't want to work with a jerk like that anyway. He contacted me a few days later telling me that I missed out on a perfect opportunity...WHATEVER!

The third one was pretty interesting. It's called Local Ad Link. They've created a program where companies can advertise on the internet, instead of yellow pages, and be targeted to certain zip codes as well as optimized on the major search engines. It's a new start up company, since November 2008, and sales are pretty good so far. Businesses are ready for new ways to advertise. 80% of US households use the internet instead of the yellowpages so buying an ad in the yellowpages is not effective advertising. And Local Adlink is cheaper than advertising through Google Adwords or the Yellow Pages. (I did join this one so contact me if you're interested in this.)

The last email I received I got really excited about. I don't know how I found it, I must have clicked on a link by accident but it came up with an ad for an internet marketing business called Carbon Copy Pro. It's a turn key system that once you get it all set up, all you have to do is market your website. And the products that they sell are informative for the times that we are in...they're financial education packages.

So, I read through the website and I signed up to get more information and to fill out an application. They say on the website that they have to go through the application to see if you fit what they are looking for. I'm not sure yet if that is a ploy or not but I filled out the application. Then another website came up, advertising their business in a box program, which teaches you the system and teaches you everything you need to know about marketing.

I am really excited after reading about Carbon Copy Pro, excited to get started. This seems like a real 'own your own business' opportunity. I purchased both the application kit and the Business in a Box which they call Bib.

So far I'm in to it:

$39.95 Application kit, and Million Dollar Mind Program
$395.00 for the 'Business in a Box' program.
